Now that I’m pregnant, my beauty routine looks a little different these days! Summer in the south is no joke, and when you’re not due with baby until August, you’ve got a long road ahead of you! Despite the crazy heat and humidity we have here in Louisiana, I do want to try to enjoy the summer as I usually would, while also feeling and looking my best (ask me how I feel about this come July, haha)!
I’ve pretty much been living in stretchy flowy dresses these days and plan to continue all summer long, so there’s no excuse now to let up on my new beauty routine!
I’ve had to change a lot, but this has been working great for me so far! Here’s what I’m doing for my summer pregnancy beauty routine.
MY SUMMER PREGNANCY BEAUTY ROUTINE
Smooth Legs for SummerThankfully my favorite razors have got me covered when it comes to having smooth legs for summer. While it may be more difficult to see what I’m doing these days thanks to the bump, I’m super thankful for these smooth BIC Soleil® razors for getting the job done! I’m loving all of their new razors. I’ve had the chance to give several a try and there is one for every season: SOLEIL® Sensitive Advanced my go- to, SOLEIL® Smooth Colors has vibrant fun colors, SOLEIL® Smooth Scented has a great lavender scent, and SOLEIL® Comfort has coconut milk! They are all so smooth and help so much with my dry skin I’ve been having and give me the cleanest shave! You can’t beat the quality for the money with these for a great shave at a great price point. Be sure to check out their sweepstakes and go for the WIN-WIN with water activated and smooth savings!
Mineral Sunscreen for Skin Protection
As far as beauty products go, I’ve completely eliminated all products that contain harsh chemicals, especially those that are not recommended for pregnancy. Since your skin is more sensitive in the sun while pregnant, I make sure to wear sunscreen whenever I’m out. Sunscreen is typically full of harsh chemicals that are especially unsafe for pregnancy, so instead I opt for a more natural mineral sunscreen.
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize
I’m usually one to have oily skin, but I’ve really had to up my moisturizing game while pregnant. This goes for my face, hands, legs, and belly! Everything has been more dry lately, so moisturizer goes a long way. I also want to help reduce stretch marks and keeping skin moisturized is key!
Clean Ingredient Face Wash
Salicylic acid and retinol instantly come to mind for pregnancy banned skincare ingredients. I avoid these at all costs, but to be extra careful, I also opt for a minimal ingredient and naturally derived products when it comes to what goes on my face.
Bare is Best
When it comes to makeup, bare is best for me since I work from home. On the weekends, I do like to wear a little makeup so I’ve had to make a few adjustments in this area. I ditched all my typical products and now use mineral clean ingredient makeup products. Less is more works for me! Click here to purchase your razors.
