One of my favorite things about being from Louisiana is our delicious cuisine. I may be biased, but we have the best food, dare I say, in the entire world! Yep I said it… and I mean it!
Y’all know how much I love sharing my favorite New Orleans style recipes and today I’m here with another so you can bring the taste of New Orleans straight into your home!
This recipe for Cajun shrimp & rice I’m about to share with y’all reminds me of one of my favorite classic dishes, shrimp creole!
The ingredients and flavors of this recipe are very similar to my homemade shrimp creole from scratch, except this is a great way to enjoy your favorite shrimp & rice dish when you’re pressed for time or don’t feel like gathering all kinds of ingredients and seasonings! It’s quick, easy, and full of flavor! It’s also the perfect recipe to alternate between Fish Fry Fridays during lent season!
For this recipe, I decided to use Pioneer’s Cajun shrimp & rice Comfort Meal Solution. The meal sauce and seasoning mix is amazing!
This seasoning mix is packed with all the flavor you need for an authentic Louisiana style dish! All you need to do is add your trinity (onion, bell pepper, & celery) and fresh shrimp to complete it!

Looks so good! We typically do shrimp with grits in the Charleston area, I guess I’ll have to give the rice a try! Thanks for sharing!
