With all the added time at home, I’ve been cleaning more than ever lately, and green eco-friendly cleaning has been my top priority!
Spring cleaning is usually all the rave, but for me, I think fall cleaning is more important! After all, we’re spending more time at home and usually our homes are more open to guests this time of year too!
With the change of seasons and the holidays soon approaching, a cozy clean home has never sounded better! Check out these green cleaning tips to get your home clean this fall!
GREEN CLEANING TIPS FOR FALL
Make the Switch to Green Cleaning Products
Ready to ditch the harsh chemicals and go for an affordable eco-friendly green option? Try Art of Green cleaning products! I love that their wipes are safe to use around family and pets, and that they are 98% naturally derived and have absolutely no harsh chemicals. They’re super tough on dirt and grime too! You can find them in store and online at Target.com, Sprouts Market and H-E-B.
Eliminate Odors with Essential Oils
My favorite clean option for odor removal is essential oils! For fall, I especially love the scent of orange, clove, and cinnamon oil! Diffusing essential oils is the best non-toxic way to remove odors and enjoy uplifting scents! Lemon oil is even great for cleaning too!
Use Lemon Juice for Cleaning
Lemon juice is another great option if you prefer no harsh chemicals! I love using lemon juice for odor removal, especially to clean the garbage disposal! All you have to do is mix some lemon juice in a glass of ice and dump it down the disposal, then turn it on for about 30 seconds and voila! So fresh, so clean!
Get the Fireplace Ready
To be safe, have prep your fireplace for the cooler weather with a thorough inspection and cleaning! I like to vacuum around the fireplace for any dust and debris, and also have a professional come out to give it a professional look and clean!
Clean Your Air
The fall season is a great reminder to change out those air filters! Not only do you want clean air, but this will help the heating sources stay more eco-friendly by possibly not having to overwork. This is a great way to save energy in the long run!

I’ve been trying to reduce the use of chemicals in my household. I’ve tried different green brands, but the ones I’ve tried leave a film on everything. I’ll have to try these products next!

I have never heard of this company, but I have been trying to be more green with my cleaning supplies. Fall seems like a great time to make the swap, since we are spending so much more time indoors!
