While gyms are closed, now is the perfect time to try an at-home workout if you haven’t already! Many popular names like Peloton, Orangetheory, and CrossFit have stepped up to offer free workouts that you can do at home, so I’ve rounded up some of the best free online workouts to try at home!
There are so many amazing live streams and videos available to everyone during these times as we stay at home and social distance, so today I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you all!
Plus, many of these workouts can be done with minimal to no equipment at all! If you have a few of the basics, you’ll be set!
I recommend some comfy workout leggings and shoes, as well as a mat and a few weights to get started!
While we’re quarantining, I’ve been pretty much living in leggings anyway! These adidas Believe This 2.0 tights are my favorite since they’re comfy enough to use as loungewear around the house, but also provide great flexibility and movement for a variety of workouts!
These Cloudfoam shoes are also super comfy and are perfect for when you need to go on a walk or run for some fresh air!
BEST FREE ONLINE WORKOUTS TO TRY AT HOME
Peloton
If spin is your thing, Peloton does it best and takes their spin classes to a whole new level! It’s a bit of an upfront investment if you get the bike and their whole setup, but those who use seem to really like it!
One thing to note is that you can actually use any indoor cycling bike with the Peloton digital app, which is only $12.99 per month. If you’re looking to save money but still get the Peloton experience, this is the best way to do it! In fact, this is exactly what I do!
Right now you can get a 90-day free trial for the Peloton app if you want to give it a try! Oh, and if spinning isn’t your thing, they have a ton of other guided workouts on the app too!
I purchased this IC4 bike (sold here, here, and here), and I use the Peloton digital app. I’ve easily saved over $1,400 with this setup! My bike seems to be one of the most popular choices for a Peloton alternative and has been sold out but periodically gets restocked, so if you keep checking the links I posted above, you might get lucky and find it in store or on Prime like I did! For an even less investment, this bike is also a great option at under $400 with great reviews!
CrossFit
If HIIT and strength training are your thing, CrossFit combines the two for a unique, and often intense workout. You can find a bunch of beginner-friendly CrossFit trainings online that you can do at home!
STRONG by Zumba
If you need a quick 30 minute HIIT workout, this is for you! If traditional Zumba isn’t really your thing, no worries, this one is different and I encourage you to give it a try! It’s fun! Check out their YouTube channel for a bunch of free streaming videos.
P.volve
P.volve is becoming more popular lately and for good reason! It’s a full-body workout that can easily be done at home with limited to no equipment! If you follow them on Instagram, you can find some free workouts to try, plus they’re offering 25% off their streaming packages.
Les Mills
This is the program my health club uses and it’s one of my personal favorites for all different types of cardio and strength workouts! I especially love their Body Combat class, but others like Body Pump and RPM cycling are up there on my list too!! Right now you can access tons of free on demand videos from home here.
Planet Fitness
If you’re a fan of going to Planet Fitness, now they’re bringing the gym to you in your home! You can catch a live-stream daily at 6pm CT 7pm ET on their Facebook page.
Corepower Yoga
Yoga is a great workout for stress relief, which we all could probably benefit from right now! While their studios remained closed, you can still catch some free yoga classes on demand.
Orangetheory
Orangetheory is offering daily free workouts you can watch online. If you’re in need of a quick but successful calorie burn, this is for you!
Have you been working out while at home!? Which workout are you most excited to try? Feel free to share any of your favorite best free online workouts you’ve found!

I can’t wait to try the STRONG zumba. I hadn’t even thought about looking for zumba online.

What a good round-up! Thanks so much for compiling this list. I really need to do some exercise other than going for walks and bike rides…
Jen @ Jenron Designs says
I wish I could get into online fitness more, I guess I feel like no one is watching so I can short leg it…LOL! Which in turn only hurts me in the long run, and I feel bad about the accountability.
Surabhi says
Very difficult to stay fit during quarantine. These are awesome ideas. I personally like zumba more than anything

Great list! I’ll be pinning to come back to.
