This post featuring 5 ways women can empower one another and celebrate success is sponsored by adidas. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
International Women’s Day is quickly approaching on March 8th! Ladies, if you haven’t treated yourself or celebrated yourself in a while, this is the perfect time to put yourself first for once and do so!
I know many of us work so hard, accomplish so much, and rarely put aside time to celebrate our successes. Today I want to change that and encourage each of you to take a step back to reflect and celebrate something you’ve done that you’re proud of!
Maybe you just got a promotion at work, got your degree, bought a car on your own, or completed a personal goal you’ve been working months towards. The fact is, there isn’t an accomplishment too big or too small to celebrate!
Many of us, myself included, find it hard or just simply dislike all the attention on us and therefore struggle with celebrating ourselves, so today I’m sharing some of the best tips and advice I’ve heard to inspire us women to do exactly that.
Here are 5 ways we can empower each other and celebrate our successes!
5 Ways to Empower and Celebrate Our Success:
Write a Note to Your Younger Self
Writing a note to your younger self is a great way to celebrate success! What would 16 year old you think about your accomplishments today? While you might not see it clearly right now, you’re younger self would be so amazed by everything you’ve accomplished today!
Celebrate the Milestones
If you’re one to remember dates and anniversaries, then milestones are a great time to celebrate your success! Has it been 5 years since you’ve become a mom? That’s worth celebrating because sister that’s one amazing accomplishment and you’ve done an amazing job! Perhaps it’s been 10 years since you’ve gotten your degree! Don’t let that amazing feeling of accomplishment escape you. You worked damn hard for that diploma and you have every right to celebrate it more than once! It’s easy to get caught up in the “now” but don’t forget to take a look back every once in a while because you’ve come so far!
Compliment More than Criticize
When we think of work evaluations, the first that that may come to mind is criticism, but it’s important to point out our strengths and not just our weaknesses. While constructive criticism is necessary, compliments go much further than criticism. After all, we need to know we’re doing a good job to continue doing a good job! There’s never a wrong time to give someone a compliment and empower one another.
Lead by Example
One of the best ways women can empower one another is to lead by example. Since people, especially youth, are greatly influenced by their role models, it’s important to be a good, kind, and motivating one!
Treat Yourself
Once you’ve finally taken the time to reflect on all your successes, it’s time to treat yourself because you’ve earned it girl! It’s okay to be a little selfish or even splurge! Treat yourself to some shopping, a mani/pedi, new workout clothes (look at how cute these adidas sneakers and this hat are!), and a nice weekend getaway. Whatever makes you happy, don’t second guess it and just go for it! Remember, you’re worth it my friend!
I’ve chosen to treat myself with adidas since they are currently partnering with iFundWomen to support women entrepreneurs in sport.
These new adidas Ultraboost running shoes and Believe This 2.0 Tights caught my eye and I’m obsessed! The color of the tights is favorite and they are smooth like butter! These are officially my new go-to for workouts and athleisure wear around the house!

Leading by example is so important! Use your words kindly, especially when talking about yourself & your work! Be the first to congratulate a peer and shine the light on them when they do amazing things too!
