This post featuring ways to give gifts to the military during the holidays was sponsored by the USO. All opinions are my own.
Last Tuesday was Giving Tuesday, which reminded me of the importance of paying it forward and giving back during the holidays. I always try to pay it forward when I can, and the holidays are the most import time of the year to do so, in my opinion.
When it comes to thinking about who I’d like to pay it forward to this holiday season, the military is at the top of my list. This holiday season, hundreds of thousands of service members will remain on duty away from home, so I think it’s extremely important for them to receive something special that will remind them of the comfort of home.
I’ve teamed up USO Wishbook this year to share just how easy it is to pay it forward this holiday season and help deliver care packages that provide comforts of home, warm meals, entertainment, and technology that enables our troops to connect with family and friends far away.
The USO’s mission is encourage others to join forces with Force Behind the Forces® to strengthen service members by keeping them connected to their family, home and, country throughout their time of service to the nation. Now more than ever, troops need your help to bridge the distance. The USO Wishbook makes it easy to give meaningful gifts to military during the holidays.
Here’s how it works. The USO Wishbook is an online giving catalog that offers donors a way to support the USO by purchasing symbolic gifts for friends and loved ones. These gifts help America’s service members and their families feel more connected. If you’d like to give a gift through the USO Wishbook, all you have to do is go online and visit USO.org/Holidays to gift a small reminder of home. The USO will take care of the rest.
This is my go-to trusted resource for paying it forward to our military during the holidays. This year, while you enjoy your favorite holiday traditions, I encourage you to pause for a moment to show your support for those who remain on duty to protect our nation!
Check out the USO Wishbook to see how you can pay it forward and send gifts to the military during the holidays!
