Sangria is my favorite fruit! That counts, right!?
Kidding… but, I do love me some sangria! I just love how versatile and delicious it is! It’s so easy to change up depending on the season and it’s a great party drink option!
In the spirit of the holidays, I’ve put together a spiced apple sangria that can be enjoyed all fall and winter long.
You can follow this recipe to make an entire pitcher if you’re hosting a get together, or you can simply cut down on the ingredients to make one just for yourself! The best part is that this spiced apple sangria recipe is simple but festive and can serve plenty!
Spiced Apple Sangria Recipe
Ingredients
– 2 cups apple cider
– 1 bottle Yealands white wine (I used Sauvignon Blanc)
– 4 apples, diced
– 5 cinnamon sticks
– 2 tbs brown sugar
– 2 cloves
– 1/4 tsp nutmeg
– 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1
Dice the apples into small pieces.
Step 2
In a large drink pitcher, combine apple cider, clove, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. Mix well.
Step 3
Add the bottle of wine to the pitcher, then add the apples and cinnamon sticks.
Step 4
Serve in a glass and garnish with diced apple slices and a cinnamon stick.
Fun fact, the Yealands white wine used in this recipe is from one of only a few wineries around the world to be certified as carbon neutral. It’s also the first-ever to be certified from inception!
This wine is delicious and pairs perfectly with the fruit and spices in this sangria recipe! Visit the Yealands site and follow on Facebook and Instagram to locate a bottle near you!
