I can’t believe our puppy Charley is now a year old! It feels like it was just yesterday when we were driving to Kentucky to meet her and bring her home!
Charley was born in December, so not only did we get to celebrate her first birthday this month, we’ll also get to celebrate our first holiday season with her at home! I can’t wait to dress her in a holiday sweater and give her all of her treats. I also always wrap up gifts for our dogs. They get so excited and enjoy opening up gifts just as much as we do! Since December is Charley’s birthday month, I put together some of her favorites in a gift basket, or should I say bowl!? It turned out so cute!
I think this DIY dog gift basket would make for the perfect holiday gift for any dog or dog lover on your list! See below for how I put it all together.
Can you believe this little nugget below is the same dog pictured above!? They grow too fast!!
DIY DOG GIFT BASKET IDEA
What to Use
– Large ceramic dog bowl
– Clear shrink wrap
– Milk-Bone® Holiday Tin Dog Treats
– Pup-Peroni® Dog Treats
– Red ribbon
– Miscellaneous dog toys
What to Do
This is pretty straight forward, but basically all I did was fill the giant dog bowl with all the goodies! I started with the Milk-Bone® Holiday Tin dog treats since it was the largest item, then I filled the rest of the bowl with more treats and a few toys!
I purchased a large roll of clear shrink wrap to wrap the bowl and the contents into a gift basket to hold everything together, then I tied it off at the top with a ribbon bow!
It was so simple to make!
I came across this cute limited edition Milk-Bone® Holiday Tin at Target which ended up being perfect for us since the treats are for dogs of all sizes and Hailey would get to enjoy them, too!
I also included Pup-Peroni® dog treats, which are one of Charley’s favorites. Real beef is #1 ingredient, so I don’t mind treating her to some! Milo’s Kitchen® and Canine Carry Outs® Dog Treats are two other great treat options – both of which are available at Target!
If you plan on making this DIY dog gift basket, be sure to head to Target and take advantage of these great Cartwheel offers! From now until 12/24/18, you can save 15% on Milk-Bone®, Milo’s Kitchen®, Pup-Peroni®, and Canine Carry Outs® Dog Treats with Cartwheel!
Do you like to give gifts to your pets too!?

Charley is a adorable! And I love this gift basket. I definitely need to do something like this for my pup! She doesn’t like toys… just treats and bully sticks… so a gift basket like that would be her fave thing!
