When we brought our new puppy Charley home, there was a lot to figure out! It had been 10+ years since I last had a puppy, so bringing Charley home really felt like a completely new first time experience.
Shortly before it was time to bring Charley home, I quickly panicked when I realized we didn’t have any of the “puppy essentials” like training pads, training treats, chew toys, etc. One trip to the store later and we had an entire stock pile of all the essentials – plenty enough to entertain an entire litter of pups! Sorry not sorry, crazy dog mom here!
To say ours dogs are spoiled would be an understatement, but there’s no shame in my dog spoiling game! My pets are family, so it’s important to keep those tails wagging!
One thing I quickly realized when prepping for a new puppy was how fast everything adds up! Despite already having two dogs at home, we basically had to start from scratch. Our two older dogs are already house trained, so there are no puppy training pads required, and they’re well beyond the chewing phase, so they’re pretty content with their few favorite toys by now. But a puppy!?
Puppies are so curious, full of life, and want to explore everything! This means not one, not two, but more like ten toys are needed at any given time to keep them entertained! Training pads need to be placed strategically around the house and finding healthy treats are crucial!
There are many options out there when it comes to buying dog toys, treats, training pads and other essentials, but knowing how quickly we’d be going through all of those essentials, like training pads,, it was important for me to keep things cost effective while still getting something of high quality.
Petshoppe at Walgreens has been such a saver for us! For those unfamiliar, Petshoppe is a Walgreens exclusive pet treat, accessories, toys, and waste solutions brand. It offers quality products your best friend will love at prices you will enjoy!
If you’re a soon to be dog mom or you’re currently a pet owner and you haven’t already, go check out Petshoppe at your local Walgreens! Petshoppe promises to bring you trusted, high-quality pet basics for your best-friend. I was so surprised by the wide variety of items to choose from!
Two of Charley’s (all time) favorite toys came from there – her pig and her sea turtle! I’m in a Goldendoodle owner networking group, and hands down the most recommended popular toy in this group of Doodle owners is this spotted pig! Imagine my surprise when I found out these are sold at Walgreens for a great price!
Along with a great selection of best priced puppy toys, you can also find high quality treats at Petshoppe, like Premium Chicken Jerky, Premium Duck Tenders, and Sweet Potatoes with Cranberries pet treats.
Petshoppe pet treats have no corn, wheat or soy and are grain and gluten free. The treats are made with no animal by products and have no added fats or sugars. Just look for the “Made in the USA” stamp on select products.
While shopping for pet toys, treats, and training pads (Petshoppe puppy training pads are leak resistant with absorbent gel that locks in wetness in seconds – awesome quality!), you can also fill pet medication prescriptions at the Walgreens pharmacy!
Since Charley is still young, we’re having to buy new toys on a weekly basis to keep her entertained and we’re also always in need of quality treats to work on her training commands. By shopping Petshoppe at Walgreens, we’re able to save lots of money on the same quality items we’d find in large pet stores!
Are you a crazy dog mom too!? If you have a special spoiled pet in your life and you’re looking to save so money, give Petshoppe a try!
