One of my favorite ways to find new products to try is through other blogs! I’m a sucker for beauty favorites lists and what’s in my bag posts. Since summer is almost here, I figured it would be the perfect time to share my own what’s in my pool bag!
I’ve rounded up all of my favorite pool bag essentials I like to keep in my bag for a hot summer day at the pool. Check them out and be sure to share your favorite must-have pool bag essentials with me too! 
WHAT’S IN MY POOL BAG: POOLSIDE ESSENTIALS
High SPF Sunscreen
Pretty basic, but totally necessary! It’s a given, but I didn’t want to write this post without it, so here it is! Protect your skin, friends! While a tan is lovely, not only are the sun’s rays harmful in terms of getting skin cancer, they also rapidly age your skin. I don’t know about you, but I’m no fan of wrinkles, so I layer on the SPF – the higher the better!
SPF Lip Balm
Burnt lips are painful and take a while to fully recover, so I make sure to always keep a lip balm of at least 30 SPF on hand. I love the Sun Bum coconut scent!
Express Tan Instant Tint Mist
Although I’m not actively trying to get a tan from the sun when I’m by the pool, I do like to look tan! This Express Tan Self-Tanning Mist is my go-to for an instant tint. I like to put this on the night before or a few hours before heading to the pool to give it enough time to settle in.
Tampax Radiant
I don’t let that ‘time of the month’ stop me from doing the things I enjoy, and thanks to Tampax Radiant with LeakGuard, I can feel confident knowing I’m protected! These now come in a new pocket-sized purple floral design, which is the perfect size for keeping in your purse, pool, or beach bag. They have a superior width-wise expansion making them easily adaptable. I found the cute floral prints at Walmart!
Olay Daily Moisture
Sunscreen tends to dry out my face, so I always make sure to moisturize prior to and between application. Olay UV365 Daily Moisture is formulated with broad spectrum SPF which is great for adding extra protection. 
Brush-On Powdered Sunscreen
Where has this stuff been all my life!? Seriously, it’s a game changer! I’ve been using Colorescience brush-on sunscreen SPF 50 on my face and I love how gentle it is on my skin while protecting it from the sun. No more greasy sunscreen on my face for me!
Olay Cleansing Cloths
These fragrance-free wipes are great for sensitive skin. I like to keep these in my pool bag for when I need to quickly freshen up. If I start to feel too greasy from all the sunscreen, these wipes come in handy!
Wet Brush Detangling Brush
If you have a sensitive scalp or your hair tangles easily, hello you NEED this in your life! Chlorine leaves my hair a tangled mess and this brush has never let me down. In fact, it usually gets the job done without any type of detangler too! I have no idea how it works so good, but just know that this thing is magical!
Leave-in Conditioning Spray
Chlorine is very harsh on hair, so my favorite Pantene Pro-V detangling spray always comes in my bag with me just in case! It has anti-oxidants in it, which is great for repairing damaged hair, and it’s amazing at detangling when your brush can’t get through it alone.
