As soon as I found out we were getting a new puppy, I began to do a ton of research. What type of food will she eat? What’s the best way to house train? What are the best chew toys for puppies? These were all questions that ran through my mind for weeks. Of all, the most important was food. I knew I wanted Charley to have a high-quality diet, especially while being a growing puppy.
Like humans, I believe our pets are what they eat, so a wholesome diet was at the top of my list. The assessment provided lots of recommendations for food, treats, and supplements based on her traits such as weight, lifestyle, activity level, health, temperament, current diet, physical appearance, and appetite. Following the online assessment, I also jumped on a call with the owner of the company herself, Marney Prince, and discussed Charley’s specific needs and received some great feedback and food recommendations. Since Charley is young, playful, and healthy, we’re going to start her on the Harmony beef, salmon, & duck recipe and incorporate beef lungs and chicken hearts for treats. The whole food ingredients and ground bones and joints provide the calcium a growing puppy like Charley needs in the most appropriate format to digest.
