The power of positivity is a beautiful thing! I’ve always been the type of person that tries to focus on the good rather than the bad. Anxiety, fear, and self doubt are no stranger to me, but I try to not let those things get in the way for the most part. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, and that’s just life, but I do believe in the power of positive thinking.
Rather than letting the little things and stressors get me down, I try to focus on the positives in every situation. Anytime I feel negative thoughts coming on, I redirect my thinking and it always helps. That type of mindset really makes all the difference, y’all!
Nobody is perfect, I get that, and you can’t always control the curveballs life often throws at you, but what you can control is how you perceive those things. Let’s be kind to ourselves, and let’s replace those sometimes disparaging dialogues in our heads with some positive self-talk! A little positivity can go a long way, so let’s put these 8 inspiring ways to practice positivity in action!
8 INSPIRING WAYS TO PRACTICE POSITIVITY
Start the Day with Positive Affirmations
Make a list of all the positive things you like about yourself and attach it somewhere you can easily see, like your mirror, and read them aloud every day while adding to the list daily.
Surround Yourself with Positive People
Stick with those who build you up rather than tear you down! Positivity is contagious, so the more positive people you can be around, the better!
Start a Gratitude Journal
Create a list of all the things you are grateful for. A grateful attitude is the best way to promote all the positive vibes!
Give Yourself Encouraging Words
An “atta girl” compliment to yourself never hurts! These encouraging words will do the soul good!
Always Look for the Good
We have the ability to control of perception of life, so why not make the most of it and always seek the good!? When you always look on the bright side, there’s a great chance you’ll have a more positive outlook on life!
Find What Brings You Joy
Find your joy and stick with it! Consistency is key to happiness.
Stop to Smell the Roses
Life is full of simple gifts, so don’t let everyday stresses get in your way of being present and appreciating the good!
Make Positivity a Habit
Positive thinking leads to positive action. By making positivity a habit, you can guarantee positive results. Again, consistency is key!
These ideas have all been inspired by Pamprin’s 21-Days of Positivity challenge. The idea is to do one of these actions each day of the week, and repeat this cycle for 3 weeks. Habits form after 3-weeks of consistent and intentional effort, and you’ll be amazed by what you can accomplish with a little bit of optimism!
That “time of the month” for us ladies is anything but a positive experience, and Pamprin gets that! That’s why they’re focused on positive self care and “pamper”(in) yourself – see what I did there!?! They want you to feel your best self, at all times of the month, so they’ve formulated the perfect mix to treat all menstrual symptoms like bloating, pain, cramps, and irritability!
I really love their idea behind positive thinking and positive self care and feel we can all benefit from this 21-day challenge. Want to join in? Grab the 21-Days of Positivity print out, post it to your mirror so you don’t forget it, and follow along daily!

I definitely think there’s something to be said for gratitude! Another thing I believe is important is to give OTHERS encouraging words and build them up. I feel better myself and can better take the focus off my own problems when I focus of how I can best serve those around me.

I was not a very positive person by nature, but after making the effort to focus on positive thinking, it has made a huge difference in my life. I can get in a terrible mood if I let my negative thoughts take over. Luckily I’ve learned some ways to try and replace them with positive ones!
