We’ve officially hit the point where it’s time to pack away the pants and sweaters (at least here in the south we did!) and pull out the shorts, and dresses, and swimsuits. Summer will be here before we know it, and it may already feel that way depending on where you live. Love it or not, the heat is coming and now is the time to get your skin ready for summer.
It’s time to rid the dullness and paleness of winter and show off those bronzed legs! These tips will help you get your skin ready for summer so you can feel more confident in your own skin everyday, and get summer vacation ready!
TIPS FOR GETTING YOUR SKIN READY FOR SUMMER:
1. Exfoliate dull winter skin
After those long and dry months of fall and winter, your skin could use a little help. Exfoliating is the best way to rid those dull and dead skin cells and kickstart healthy cell regeneration. The best way to exfoliate your skin is to use a rough surface exfoliating mit or a gritty textured exfoliating lotion 2x per week.
2. Keep your skin moisturized
The need for moisturizing skin is more obvious in the dry winter months, but it’s just as important in the warmer months, despite the outside heat and humidity. JERGENS® Natural Glow® Wet Skin Moisturizer is a great product to use to get your skin ready for summer. Place it on wet skin immediately after showering for a streak-free, natural looking color. It moisturizes your skin and gives it a glow all in one!
3. Drink lots of water
In addition to using a moisturizer on your skin, you should also drink lots of water to help improve your skin’s appearance. Water helps flush out toxins from your body, which can result in healthier looking skin with less blemishes.
4. Don’t forget the SPF
Protect your skin from unwanted sun damage and wrinkles by increasing your use of SPF products. This can be anything from makeup and moisturizers with added SPF for incidental sun exposure, to good ole sunscreen for laying out.
5. Use sunless tanners
Everyone wants a natural looking tan in the summer, but nobody wants skin cancer! Sunless tanners are the safe way to achieve a natural looking glow. The easiest way to get your skin ready for summer is by using JERGENS® Natural Glow® Instant Sun. All you have to do is apply it once for instant natural looking color and it’s buildable if you desire a darker color. Be sure to exfoliate and apply a regular moisturizer to dry areas first for best results. You can find JERGENS® Natural Glow® Instant Sun and JERGENS® Natural Glow® Wet Skin Moisturizer both at Walmart, but the wet skin moisturizer may be in a different location than the other JERGENS® products.

These are great tips! I’m going to Vegas this weekend, and living in the PNW means I don’t have anything close to a tan, but I also don’t want to hop in a tanning bed. I’ll have to check these products out at my local drug store!
