It’s December already!? How is that so!? I’m not complaining since this is my favorite time of the year! I’m just now realizing that I forgot to share my goals for November last month, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re in full wedding planning mode during your wedding month!
Speaking of wedding, I’m officially a married woman now!! It’s crazy to think that after 16 months of wedding planning, it’s all over, but I must say it’s a relief! During our engagement, wedding planning literally consumed every thought of mine, so it’s nice to finally be married and get back to normal life again. My to-do lists no longer contain 90% wedding this, and wedding that, and to be honest, I was getting worried I wouldn’t know what to do with myself after planning for so long, but I’m fine! So for the most part, back to regular life it is! Here’s what’s on my list of goals this month.
1. Send out thank you notes
Just when I thought I was done with all the wedding stuff, I remembered there are a few more wedding things left! I think after our thank you notes are sent we’ll officially be done though. Woohoo!
2. Get back in the gym
Between my wedding week, honeymoon week, and then being in catch up mode once I got back to reality, my workouts have taken a back seat on my priority list. I’m finally starting to get caught up with everything and I’m ready to get back on track though! I was worried that being at an all inclusive resort with unlimited drinks and restaurants that I’d backtrack with my progress I made in the gym these past few months, but I’m proud to say that I’ve maintained my weight, even with daily breakfast buffets, pina coladas and all!
3. Blog about the wedding and honeymoon
Y’all, I have so much to share and I don’t even know where to start!! I promise I’ll sort through everything soon! We did some pretty cool stuff during our honeymoon, so I’ll definitely have some fun and informative posts about honeymooning in Mexico soon!
4. Have a date night
On December 12, we’ll be married for 1 month and I’d like to have a date night in New Orleans to celebrate. No, we won’t be that couple that counts down every month (what is this, high school!?) but I do want to celebrate the first one!
5. Cook at home again
I can’t tell you the last time I’ve had a home cooked meal 2 days in a row. We haven’t had much of a cooking schedule since we’ve been back from the honeymoon because life has been busy, but this needs to change stat! I also can’t tell you the last time I’ve been to the grocery store. Maybe I should start there!

Omg, yes to the gym and cooking at home. We’ve been eating out so much since we’ve gotten back and I haven’t had time to workout so I am ready to hop back in. haha

I’m brand new to blogging, and goal-setting is one of my goals for the next few months. (Yup, I made a goal to set some goals. Kinda lame, I know!) Honestly, I was feeling a little lost in how to make goals, how ambitious (or not) to make them, and I think this post gave me a great idea of what sort of goals I should be considering for myself, personally & profesionally. Thanks!

Great goals! I can only imagine how much you have to blog about your wedding and honeymoon, but I’m also sure we’d all love to read it.! Good luck and happy holidays!

Congratulations on your recent marriage! Time is going to fly and you’ll be celebrating your first anniversary before you know it! I just celebrated my 2nd anniversary in October and time is just flying by.
I love your goals! Blogging about your wedding and honeymoon while it’s still fresh in your mind is perfect! Plus it’s fun to go back and read each and every detail…even the ones you may forget!

I hope you have a Merry December! :).
I’m a newlywed myself, I got married in September. So, congratulations! I breathed such a HUGE breath after the wedding was over. It was so nice to get back to normalcy. Not have to constantly be worrying about a project being done, etc! :). I was like you, it seemed to consume my every thought!
