This post on ways to stay safe during your next adventure is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® & Road ID but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #roadid #RoadIDItsWhoIAm http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
I’m still in recovery mode from our honeymoon, as in the needing a vacation from your vacation type of recovery, but it was all worth it! We split our time between the resort and excursions and it was the excursion portion of the trip that completely wiped me out. Half of the week was spent zip lining, ATVing through the jungle, and swimming through caves. It was an adventure for sure, tiring to say the least, but so fun! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen this post where I shared about my Road ID and today I want to talk about that because I’m so glad I brought it along to Mexico.
If you’re the outdoors type of person, I’m sure you know the drill when it comes down to outdoor safety, but what you might not have heard of is Road ID. If you look closely at the photo above, you can see the Road ID tag on my shoes and on my Apple Watch band. Road ID was created on the concept that active people should wear an ID when participating in outdoor activities. There are various ID styles to choose from so you can decide where you want to wear your identification.
Road ID is a must for any runner, cyclist, jogger, walker, hiker, climber, skater, skier, boarder, or anyone that spends time outdoors or being active. You can customize your ID tag with your vital information, such as your name, address, date of birth, phone number and emergency contacts. This is a must have for outdoor safety, in my opinion, because if something were to happen to you, like god forbid loss of consciousness for example, others would be able to identify you and get you help.
One of my favorite excursions during our honeymoon to Mexico involved ATVing and swimming through caves. It was a risky and tiring adventure, and while I had my husband along with me, I wore my Road ID for extra safety incase we were to get separated or if anything were to happen to the both of us. In my opinion, there’s no such thing as being over prepared! It made me feel at ease!
If you or someone you know enjoys adventure, the outdoors, or often travels alone, consider this outdoor safety tip and always have identification! From 11/24-11/28, take advantage of 20% off all Road ID products and gift cards, while supplies last! This would be the perfect stocking stuffer!
