I’ve lived my entire life with dogs, so unwanted pet hair has always been a normal occurrence in my life. Thankfully the pros of having a pet outweigh the cons, or should I say con? Pet hair really is the only downside to having a pet, and I’ve learned over the years it doesn’t have to be much of a hassle. Keeping a pet-friendly home hair-free is simple and these pet hair removal hacks prove it!
PET HAIR REMOVAL CLEANING HACKS:
Hack #1: Sticky mop it
I once saw one of the coolest pet hair removal hacks which involved using a lint roller as a sticky mop! Basically what you do to remove pet hair from your house in one go is to use a sticky lint brush as a hand mop and roll it across carpets, rugs, and other soft surfaces like a couch. All you need is a long handle with a rod at the end to attach a lint roller replacement roll. This works great for large surface areas and beats having to pull out a bulky vacuum that doesn’t always get the job done anyway!
Hack #2: Pat it
Patting a surface with pet hair is far more effective than wiping it, since wiping only spreads the hair to other areas! One of the easiest ways to remove pet hair is to pat with an extra sticky sheet, like the Scotch-Brite™ 50% Stickier Lint Roller sheets, which picks up hair as soon as it comes into contact with it. This is handy for removing pet hair from clothes, pillows, lamp shades, curtains, windows, and couches. This method works great for spot cleaning!
Hack #3: Roll it
Last but not least is one of my favorite pet hair removal hacks of all- the lint roller! For an all over clean, just roll a lint brush over areas in need. I saved the best for last because a handy Scotch-Brite™ Lint Roller does it all, from removing unwanted hair from clothes, to even cleaning soft surfaces that are within reach, such as pet beds, sheets, rugs, felt under chairs, and so much more. Lint rollers really go beyond just keeping clothes lint, hair, and fuzz free!
The next time you’re cleaning your home of pet hair, roll a lint brush over your couch, linens, and other soft surfaces for a quick clean before you pull out a large vacuum- you may even be able to skip vacuuming! From my experience, lint rollers trap in pet hair better than other hair removal options in one easy roll! To get even more creative, you can also use a lint roller as a portable cleaning device for areas like car seats and hard to reach crevices behind furniture.
Scotch-Brite™ Lint Rollers are my favorite for removing unwanted pet hair since they are the only lint rollers with Scotch™ adhesive and get the job done better than others I’ve tried. For tougher jobs where large debris such as pet hair and crumbs need to be picked up, the Scotch-Brite™ 50% Stickier Lint Roller comes in handy. It has 50% more adhesive which allows it to grab more than just lint and hair (think sand and glitter too). To bring a little fun into your household, you can also try Scotch-Brite™ Printed Lint Rollers! These lint rollers can be found in various sections of Walmart, such as the cleaning aisle, sewing & notions section, and closet and laundry section. I find mine in the laundry section usually!

Scotch-Brite rollers are ok, but Evercare lint rollers are much better. I have two dogs and two cats, and hands down the Evercare ones are much stickier. They even have a big lint roller on a pole…so you don’t have to crawl around on your knees. Hope that helps.
