Every bride wants their wedding day to go exactly as planned, but realistically that’s not always the case. Things come up, so it’s always better to be over prepared than not. I’ve heard horror stories of dresses ripping and hair falling at the last minute, so for my big day, I’ll be bringing along a wedding emergency kit in hopes that if something does go wrong, it can easily be fixed! Some of these items will also come in handy for last minute sprucing up, so they’re all must haves in my opinion.
Here’s what’s in my wedding day emergency kit:
Clear polish – I’ve heard this works wonders for stopping tears from spreading in chiffon dresses.
Mini sewing kit – If god forbid the dress rips, zipper breaks, or a button pops off!
Peppermint essential oil – This essential oil is great for headaches, nausea and a quick boost of energy.
Tumbler – A cup with a straw will keep you hydrated without ruining your lipstick!
Dry spray deodorant – Sprays are easy to apply and don’t leave behind deodorant stains.
Safety pins – This will come in handy for a minor tear that needs a quick fix.
Bobby pins – This will save an updo at the last minute! You can never have too many!
Stain remover pen – Just incase your dinner, wine, or makeup ends up on your dress.
Pill case – Filled with pain relievers and antacids just in case!
Hair spray – Great for taming loose ends and flyaways.Mouthwash – Great way to freshen up right before the ceremony and after dinner without messing up makeup.
Blotting sheets – Perfect for removing oil from your face without removing makeup. Tissue works great for this too!
Tissue – Last but not least, don’t forget tissue in your wedding day emergency kit! It will come in handy to wipe the happy tears and can double up as oil blotting sheets too! In fact, it may be a good idea to keep a few boxes out for guests as well since weddings are known for bringing out all the tears! Puffs Plus makes a new 10-pack lotion blend tissue (sold at Sam’s Club), which would fit perfectly into the big day with it’s added comfort! I’ll be keeping a few boxes within reach while we get ready on my big day because I know my mom will be a mess!
If you’re a bride-to-be, or know a bride, share this with her so she can be prepared with her own wedding day emergency kit! It just might come in handy!
