This month will be the most challenging for me, but I’m excited to get started! I joined a group weight loss challenge at my gym which officially kicked off this week. It’s an 8 week long challenge that is divided into teams that compete against each other with the overall goal of who can lose the most body fat percentage. I’ll be working closely with a trainer, who from what I’ve been told, loves to give a good butt kicking, so it will be interesting to say the least. I’ll be done with the program just in time before the wedding and it couldn’t be more perfect timing.
My out of shape body got a little taste of what’s to come this past Wednesday during my first body sculpt class. I’m still feeling the soreness for the record! My goals is to stick it out and give it my all for the entire 8 weeks. I’ve never done anything like this before, so I know the feeling will be very rewarding in the end! Aside from that, here’s what else I want to do this month:
Get every last detail of wedding planning taken care of:
If that’s going to happen, then it’s time for me to hustle. We’ll be hitting the 2 month mark this month, so it’s really time to get all of my goals I mentioned during the 3 month mark done! I want to enjoy October and my last full month of being engaged without any added stress!
Share our engagement photos:
Y’all, I swear it’s going to happen soon! I know I’ve been saying this for a while, but they’re all finally in my possession so that means it can actually happen! Stay tuned, they’re coming!
Try new healthy recipes:
In order to succeed with my weight loss challenge, I know my diet is one of the most important things I need to pay attention to. Gone will be the days of getting on and off of the healthy eating train, since every meal will really count this time. I’m one of the pickiest eaters I know, and I get bored with the healthy foods I do eat and cook, so I plan on trying a bunch of new healthy recipes this month to stay on track.
Workout at least 6 days a week:
Working out 5 days a week won’t be hard since I’ll have my trainer and group there to hold me accountable, but it’s those extra days that will be a struggle, especially on days when I’m sore and physically can’t move.
That about sums up what’s been the main focus on my mind lately. Weight loss and wedding. Both go hand in hand! I already know it’s going to be a long month! What are your September goals?

Great goals! I keep telling myself I need to workout more but it always seems to get put on the back burner!

Awesome goals, I’m pulling for ya to meet them all! Can’t wait to see those engagement photos. I’m interested in hearing what you think about your body weight challenge. My old gym had one, but I was a little nervous about it.

Good luck with your weight loss challenge! Exercise is important, but I think I read somewhere that weight loss is 80% eating and 20% exercise. I use MyFitnessPal to track my food, and I completely attribute my weight loss to that app. It really helps me stay on track!

Good luck with your goals this month! I really need to get back into the gym ASAP.

I know it’s a little older now, but I swear Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred whipped me into shape before our wedding. I started about 8 weeks before the date and worked it every other day. Good luck and enjoy these last weeks of being engaged.

Good luck with your goals! If I could recommend Yoga With Adriene for those day 6’s when it just feels too hard and your body feels too sore… Adriene is amazing, and the stretching of sore muscles feels sooooo good. Her yoga videos are free on YouTube.
