Whether I’m packing for a trip or just packing to go to the gym, I like to be prepared. I have a stash of post-workout essentials that you’ll find in my gym bag at any given time. These are my go-to products for freshening up, recovering, and refueling after a workout:
Chocolate macaroon bites – Since I’m always starving immediately after working out, I like to pack a snack or two. Since I don’t want to ruin the workout I just completed, I’m always on the hunt for quick snack ideas that are healthier. These vegan gluten free chocolate macaroon bites are like dessert for me without the added guilt of something much worse, like a cupcake.
Fruit & nut bars – These Lärabar® fruit & nut food bars are my favorite for holding me over between meals after a workout. I love that they’re made with only a few ingredients and are minimally processed. They come in many flavors, but the peanut butter cookie is my favorite!
Wet brush – If you are tender headed, you need a Wet brush! I can’t even begin to tell you how long I would spend trying to detangle my wet hair after a shower prior to this godsend hairbrush. I was always on the hunt for the right product to use to help with the brushing as well, but that’s no longer needed with this! I can’t believe I went as long as I did without one.
Pain relief cream – As you all know, I swear by my essential oils. These are another godsend that I don’t know what I ever did without. I used to make my own DIY natural essential oil pain relief cream until this Cool Azul product recently launched. Put this on your post-workout essentials list if you suffer from sore muscles.
Dry shampoo – What did we ever do without dry shampoo? I do know we washed our hair a lot more often! I very rarely go without washing my hair after a workout, but on the occasion that I don’t sweat much, am pressed for time, or have to run an errand after the gym, dry shampoo comes in handy.
Facial towelettes – Cleansing towelettes are one of my favorite post-workout essentials for days when I’m pressed for time and can’t immediately shower after a workout. They are great for freshening up your face after sweating.
Dry spray deodorant – One thing that makes me cringe is rolling on wet deodorant over sweaty skin. I know it sounds gross, but hey, I’m being honest! With dry spray deodorant, you don’t have to worry about that! You just spray it on and it’s instantly dry.
S’well bottle – You’re probably sick of hearing me say this by now, but I’m obsessed with my S’well. If you love iced cold water that stays cold all day long, you need one of these!
What are your favorite post-workout essentials? What do you keep in your gym bag?

I never thought of a dry spray deodorant for after the gym! I always just use body spray but that is such a good idea! I will definitely need to try that from now on. Thanks for all the awesome product choices!

I live off of dry shampoo! My hair would not be the same without it! If I didn’t have it I wouldn’t be able to go 4 days without washing my hair and workout one on or two of those days! I also love dry spray deodorant! It’s so much better than the classic kind.

My whole life changed when I added a wet brush to my gym bag. I need to get me a bottle of dry shampoo, though.
