How about the word wine? If you answered yes, then you’ve come to the right place! I’ll be sharing my go-to recipe that’s very easy to make and is perfect for all occasions, from a backyard barbecue to an elegant tailgate! Speaking of tailgate, can you believe it’s getting closer to football season!? It’s been way too long since we’ve had some football if you ask me!
Cajun Shrimp and Crab Queso Dip Ingredients:
– 32 oz. soft pasteurized cheese
– 10 oz. can of diced tomatoes & green chilies.
– 1/4 cup cream of shrimp
– 1 lb gulf shrimp
– 6 oz. crab meat
– 1 tbs. butter
– Cajun seasoning
What You Do:
Cut cheese into 1 inch sized cubes. In a saucepan, sauté shrimp in butter for approx. 5 minutes or until cooked. In a separate large pot, slowly melt cheese cubes over low heat. Mix in cream of shrimp, tomatoes and chilis and stir thoroughly. Once cheese is fully melted, add in the shrimp and crab meat and heat over low for 5 minutes.
Since I’ve got football season on my mind, let’s talk about the best time of the year for a minute! The college days have been over for me for a while now, so I’ve had to trade in the kegs for something a little more classy. Can you guess what that is?
If you guessed wine then you’re correct! Wine just so happens to pair perfectly with this cajun shrimp and crab queso dip, so if an elegant tailgate is on your radar, you’ll be all set!
Woodbridge stacked wines make the perfect tailgating companion. They’re made for sharing and come in a convenient stacked pack that’s ready to drink! Since you’re on the go while tailgating, you’ll need a versatile wine, and what’s better than a brand you can trust that’s been around for 30 years!? Not much if you ask me! These ready to go packs couldn’t be more perfect for wine and football lovers alike!

Is cream of shrimp a canned soup?
Are the chiles combined in a can with the tomatoes?
Susan says
Don’t know about the firs, but th second is ROTEL brand/
in the canned veggie section or where the hispanic foods are
Dara • The Southern Thing says
Campbell’s makes the cream of shrimp, although it may be a regional thing- not sure! Rotel makes the chilies with tomatoes!
