One of my favorite parts of summer is the traveling and road trips that come along with it. Whether I’m traveling by car or plane, I like to be well prepared with the proper travel essentials. My travel essentials range from anything that will make the trip less stressful (long car rides are not my thing!) to what would come in handy during a time of need. These are a few essentials you can find in my bag when I travel:
S’well bottle – If you’ve been reading any of my blog posts lately, you know how obsessed I am with S’well bottles! These come in a variety of sizes and can easily fit into your purse. You’ll need to stay hydrated during a long day of travel and this bottle will definitely keep everything cold!
Skinfix hand cream – Even in the summer, I suffer from dry hands, so I always keep a bottle of lotion within reach. If you suffer from dry cracked hands like I do, this stuff will be your new best friend.
Repair balm – Another favorite of mine from the Skinfix line is the repair balm. It’s coconut oil based and made with natural ingredients, which is why I’ve been loving it lately. My lips always dry out when I fly (probably because I don’t drink as much water as I should when I fly) and this has been a lip saver! I also recommend wearing it under a lipstick, especially mattes, to prevent dryness.
Joy essential oil – Traveling can be stressful at times, as I’m sure most of us would agree. For that reason, I don’t go anywhere without my essential oils. I have a mini oil bag that I carry with all of my favorite oils, such as Joy, Stress Away, and Peace and Calming to reduce stress and Thieves to help keep my immune system up!
Cleansing wipes – After a long day in the car or plane, nothing is better than a clean and refreshed face. I like to carry Kleenex facial cleansing wipes on me for a quick refresh or a pick me up when I’m starting to feel tired. Once I’m settled in at my destination, nothing feels better than a shower, so I also like to pack my favorite shower essential from the Bathery!
Portable charger – This little gem has saved the life of my iPhone so many times! A portable charger is one of my top travel essentials, and for good reason! Imagine being stuck on the runway for hours due to a flight delay and you have a dead phone. That would not be fun!
Passport case – Depending on where you’re going, this is definitely an essential! A passport card holder makes traveling with a passport much more convenient so you can keep everything in one place.
Cottonelle – For long road trips in the car, I like to pack Cottonelle clean care bath tissue and flushable cleansing cloths. In my opinion, it’s better to be prepared than not! Rest stops and gas stations don’t always have the essentials we need, so I bring my own just incase! The Cottonelle clean care box, which is packed with premium personal care items, makes it convenient to have all travel essentials in one place. Right now the boxes are sold out, but you can still get all the individual items here.
Headphones – Last but not least, headphones are a definite must! These have been a game changer that I can wear for hours without even noticing anything is in my ear. I have small ears, so the earbuds that come with my iPhone are too painful to wear.
Do you have any summer trips coming up? What are your travel essentials? Be sure to check out these travel essentials from Target before you hop into the car or plane!

I suffer from the same kind of dry skin. My hands are dry all the time. I’ve tried skin fix for babies, but not the adult varieties. I’ll have to check it out.

I haven’t tried any of these products but after trying out every kind of toilet paper in my local stores, I much prefer Cottonelle. I bet their other products are just as great!
