Around the same time I became interested in using essential oils two years ago, I really started to look at the products I used in my lifestyle as a whole, including beauty products, and became interested in creating a natural skincare regimen for myself. Natural ingredients became my priority as I learned that some of the harsh chemicals in products I was using everyday was actually doing more harm than good. That was a big eye opener for me, especially when I found one face toner that changed my skin for the better. Since then, I’ve focused on changing out my products for better ingredients by following these tips:
Things to consider when creating a natural skincare regimen:
– Avoid parabens & other harsh chemicals
– Avoid perfumes for fragrance
– Find products made with natural botanicals
– Use a natural oil moisturizer that’s best for your skin type
– Use products with essential oils for natural benefits and fragrance
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t strictly use only all natural organic ingredients. I have yet to find cleaner replacements for makeup and products that target specific things like anti aging that I use here and there, but I’m working on it, and certainly when I can use all natural, I do. It’s what I prefer. The good thing is there’s a large amount of natural products out there to choose from, making it possible for the majority of the products used in a skincare regimen to be pure ingredients. Today I want to share a new French organic skincare line, Aixallia, I was recently introduced to and became instantly impressed with.
Aixallia is a new French skincare and cleansing brand that is made with proprietary ultra-pure water to eliminate all impurities. What sets Aixallia apart as a natural skincare regimen is that it’s a unique product formulated with locally harvested, organic French Mediterranean botanicals and essential oils. I’m sensitive to a lot of scents in beauty products, so I try to avoid artificial perfumes in skincare products as much as I can. What’s nice about this natural skincare line is that the fragrance comes from essential oils, which leaves a pleasantly clean and subtle smell. I also have combination oily skin which sometimes makes me hesitant to use overnight creams, but I’m able to use the lavender soothing night cream without any problems. My skin also feels super soft after, so that’s always a plus!
I’ve been using all seven of Aixallia’s skincare products for the past several weeks and haven’t found one I disliked, so I highly recommend it! Also, anytime there’s a chance to give back, I’m all for it. I personally love how Aixallia donates a percentage of net product sales revenue to charitywater.org, a non-profit organization that brings clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. I hope that one day clean drinking water is no longer an issue.
