If you’re the type of person that doesn’t eat enough vegetables, then these seven ways to sneak veggies into your diet may be beneficial for you! I’ll be the first to admit I’m the worst at eating my vegetables as a whole, but when I can sneak or substitute them into my diet, it’s a breeze. Considering the many health benefits of veggies, omitting them really shouldn’t be an option, so let’s focus on how we can increase our intake instead.
How to Sneak Veggies Into Your Diet:
1. Juicing – If you don’t want to eat them, drink them! It make take a a few trials and errors until you find the combo that’s right for you, but once you do, you really can’t go wrong with juicing.
2. Blend into smoothies – Veggie blend smoothies are so good for you and even taste like dessert! It’s so easy to add greens such as avocado, spinach, and kale without compromising taste. You can even enjoy a veggie blend smoothie while on the go thanks to Smoothie King! Their new Veggie Avocado Pineapple smoothie is everything you’ve ever wished for!
3. Bake with them – you can easily sneak veggies into your diet by adding zucchini and carrots into breads and muffins. Finely shredded veggies almost go unnoticed in muffins, but make for a great addition of vitamins and nutrients.
4. Turn them into chips – if you’ve never had a baked veggie chip, you’re missing out! There are so many options, but a few favorites are baked zucchini, green bean, carrot, and kale chips.
5. Use veggies as pasta – spaghetti squash and zucchini noodles are great substitutes for pasta, and when combined with the right sauce, you really don’t even taste a difference.
6. Make a veggie crust – if you’re a fan of pizza (really, who isn’t!?), give cauliflower crust a try! By eliminating the dough, you can cut carbs and sneak veggies into your diet!
7. Use as a rice replacement – chopped cauliflower works as a great rice substitute and another way to sneak veggies into your diet. You can even do half rice, half cauliflower rice for really picky eaters and they won’t even notice!
Out of all the ways to sneak veggies into your diet, I must say my all time favorite is smoothies! I’ll choose drinking them rather than eating them on most days, plus smoothies are so convenient!
I may be biased since they originated in my home state, but my favorite place to get smoothies is Smoothie King! Literally, nothing compares! Click here to get a $2.99 20 oz. coupon to try one yourself!
