Do you ever have those days in the office when you’re looking for something you really need and it’s nowhere to be found? Or do you ever have a day where coffee just isn’t doing its job anymore? I know I do and that’s why I decided to put together an office survival kit to keep on my desk with those essentials I always need that never seem to be in the right place at the right time. I’m thinking this office survival kit will help keep things a little more organized!
Okay, so this part is really going to vary based on what you typically use on a daily basis, but for the sake of this post, I’m going to share some of my must haves I like to keep on hand for myself and for sharing that always seem to get misplaced.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Pens
Journal
Sticky Notes
To-do List
Lotion
En-R-Gee Essential Oil
Extra® Gum Spearmint
Date Stamps
Phone Charger
Paper Clips
WHAT YOU DO: To keep things a bit more organized and all in one place, I recommend finding some type of storage basket you can neatly place your items in, but don’t use anything too big or else it may eventually become a cluttered mess and you’ll forget what’s in there.
Fill the office survival kit basket with your essentials. Placing your larger items towards the back and the smaller items towards the front will keep the basket less cluttered and will allow you to easily see everything that’s inside without having to dig.
If you’re like me and are the type of person that’s typically from one task to another, then writing down notes is crucial. You may want to keep a variety of sticky notes on hand, from message note pads, to daily to-do list note pads. I personally keep note pads in several locations and I also like to keep several pens on my desk at all times. By the end of the day I’m usually down to only one pen that I can find due to leaving them in different locations throughout the day, so I’m hoping this kit will eliminate that problem.
If you have coworkers that visit your office space often, chances are they may ask to borrow your office supplies, so it may be a good idea to put two office survival kits together- one for you and one for sharing! You’ll probably make some new friends too if you add in a candy jar or some gum to your basket!
Since there are those days when coffee just isn’t working and you may need a pick a pick me up in the afternoon, I also like to keep some En-R-Gee essential oil and gum on hand. Keeping a shareable pack of gum on hand in refreshing flavors like Extra® Gum Spearmint or Extra® Gum Polar Ice® are a convenient way to split between your desk and your purse. The new Extra® Gum 35-stick packages found by the checkout at Kroger are an easy way to give Extra, Get Extra since it now features more gum thanks to the durable, recycled packaging. You’ll no longer have to worry about running out and your coworkers will thank you for that!

Gum is seriously an essential item! Either I chomp on it because my lunch had more garlic than I thought, or I’m trying not to snack all day and the mint flavor helps 🙂 Cute post!

Great post! I LOVE those big Extra packs. I keep oils at my desk, too. Peppermint is my favourite.

Great ideas! I need to create one of those baskets for my desk space. I keep looking at those office supplies every time I’m in T and have held off, but the temptation is strong – they are so cute.
