March 1st? Is this real life? Somebody please tell me where February went. Better yet, somebody please tell me where 2016 went because this year is just flying by! I feel like I was just sharing my February goals with y’all and here we are again for March goals! I guess I’ll be saying the same thing next month if time passes as quickly as it did this last month. Atleast it’s almost spring! Anyways, enough of the talk about time flying. Here are my March goals! I’m sticking to just my personal goals this month since my blog and business goals are still pretty much the same as last month.
1. Don’t exceed my calorie limit on weekends
To better meet fitness and weight loss goals, I’ve started counting my calories again, which really has helped put my food intake into perspective. I’m usually good at staying within my limit during the week, but weekends get a little challenging. I’d like to work on that a bit.
2. Continue to save for the wedding
February was a good month for savings and I’d like to continue to stay on track to meet our wedding savings goals ahead of what we had originally planned. Chris and I are paying for a good portion of our wedding ourselves, and ideally we’d like to have everything taken care of so we can spend the months closer to the wedding saving for other things we’ll want post wedding (like new furniture for our future house, etc.).
3. Be active at least 5 days a week
Ideally I try to be active everyday, but if for some reason that doesn’t happen, it needs to at least be 5! Lately I’ve been taking Hailey for walks in the park on days I don’t feel like hitting the gym and it’s been a nice change of scenery, especially with this gorgeous weather we’ve been having. Chris and I have also been trying harder to be active on the weekends. Biking and walking the dogs has helped.
4. Make a wedding timeline
We have the bigger things taken care of, like the photographer, ceremony and reception location booked, as well as the caterer and menu selected, but now that we’re getting closer I need to plan for things that need to happen around the 6 month mark like engagement photos and save the dates. We’ll be doing our photos in New Orleans, so now is the time to set a date for the session and plan to make a trip to Louisiana.
5. Stay persistent with my food diary
Part of my calorie counting involves keeping track of a food diary with the My Fitness Pal app (highly recommend, by the way). Like the calorie counting, I need to get better at making food diary entries on the weekends. It’s harder when you have to guess a restaurant meal, but I need to figure out a way to do so.

These sound like solid, attainable goals. I’ve recently started counting calories again too, and weekends are definitely more challenging than weekdays. Good luck, girl!

Counting calories was how I lost my weight a few years back. It is harder on the weekend but stick with it and the results will be worth it 🙂

The saving for the wedding part is key! I get married in 2 weeks and all these little details keep coming up. I wish you the best.

You can totally do this! Here’s to a fantastic and productive March.

Trying to be good with calorie limits on weekends is SO hard! I’ve been trying to keep track of my meals in MFP too – I still need to curb the snacking though! Good luck with the rest of wedding planning!

I definitely need to do #1!
We’re 8 months out from our date so I am trying to get my body in tip top shape prior to the big day.

Ugh calorie counting is literally the hardest thing for me. I know I should try to do it to keep myself in check, because I’ll be like “Oh I’ll just try and eat healthy” but you don’t realize how many calories you’re really eating. Good luck with these goals! And I agree, time is really FLYING by!

I’m trying to keep a food diary this month as well. And to get some kind of intentional movement every day. Good luck achieving your goals! Looking forward to following along this month. 🙂

Weekends are always the hardest for staying on track with diets/watching what you eat. I personally struggle with snacking so if I stay out of the house I’m usually okay because I won’t buy anything while I’m out. Learning what those trigger indicators are is helpful in staying on track.

These are great goals! I really need to start keeping track of my calories as well, I totally fell of the bandwagon of doing that around the holidays!
