We may still have a week until it’s officially spring, but I’m convinced the weather in Texas today thought otherwise. It was a beautiful day to say the least, and when the sun’s out, so are the drinks! Not many things beat spending the day sipping on sangria, in my opinion! Today’s drink menu included this grapefruit sangria made with white wine and champagne and it was divine! Read below for the recipe.
Thank you Sweet Scarletts and Millennial Blogs for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 bottle of Champagne
1 bottle of White Wine
1 cup Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Juice
1/2 cup Club Soda
2 Whole Grapefruits (sliced)
12 Whole Strawberries (sliced)
WHAT YOU DO:
First of all, you’ll need a pitcher large enough to hold an entire bottle of wine and an entire bottle of champagne, plus some. The rest is pretty simple! Combine your wine, champagne, club soda, and grapefruit juice into the pitcher, then mix until well combined.
Slice the grapefruit and strawberries into large pieces, then add most of your slices into the pitcher. Be sure to set aside a few pieces for garnishing your individual glasses if desired. Serve on a pretty day for the perfect Sunday Funday!
I decided to stay local and use Sweet Scarletts grapefruit, which are homegrown in Texas!
