It’s officially time for me to put all responsibilities aside and get into my New Orleans Mardi Gras mode! These next few days will be packed with back to back parading and dancing in the streets of New Orleans and I can’t wait! It’s one of my favorite times of the year.
It’s hard for me to imagine what it would be like if I would’ve grown up somewhere else and never experienced this. It’s such a normal part of life for us in Louisiana and I forget some people are completely clueless as to what Mardi Gras even is, or it’s just something on their bucket list to see. If that’s the case, what are you waiting for!? This is the biggest Mardi Gras weekend of the season, so come on down while you’ve still got time!
No words could ever describe the feeling you get during full blown carnival and festival season in the city, but since I love sharing about NOLA and Louisiana in general, I wanted to do my best to give y’all a preview of Mardi Gras with a recap of my favorite posts I’ve written over the years. If you’re curious as to what New Orleans Mardi Gras is all about, or if you’re planning a trip in the near future and want to know everything before you go, these posts are for you!

I think many see the craziness and think that is Madis Gra. They don’t see the family and tradition side.
