A Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Smoothie recipe that’s perfect for weight loss, breakfast, or a meal replacement. Made with peanut butter powder, rolled oats, and fresh banana.
The new year means a new me, and most importantly, it means it’s time to fit into my wedding dress! Since my wedding is this year, my diet and lifestyle are more important to me than ever.
This peanut butter banana oatmeal smoothie recipe makes for a great meal replacement option or mid day snack.
The best thing about this peanut butter smoothie is that it’s so easy to make and it tastes delicious!
I mentioned in yesterday’s post my love for smoothies and how I’ll be incorporating them into my daily routine to meet my weight loss goals, so today I’m going to share another smoothie option for you all!
This peanut butter banana oatmeal smoothie recipe makes for a great meal replacement option if you’re tryin to meet a weight loss goal, or just simply want a guilt-free sweet dessert.
I decided to use peanut powder in place of traditional peanut butter to cut back on calories.
Peanut powder typically has the same amount of protein as traditional peanut butter, but with a lot less fat which makes it a great alternative to peanut butter that still gives you the same great taste.
The peanut powder has a lot less calories and sugar, which is always a plus!
Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Smoothie
As I mentioned above, I used peanut power to make this peanut butter banana oatmeal smoothie so I could cut back on calories, fat, and sugar.
I also used steel cut oats, but if you have rolled oats, you can use those as well.
The almond milk is option, but my preference as it’s a great way to also cut back on fat and calories. If you’re not a fan of almond milk, you can use any other kind of oat milk or traditional dairy milk for the same flavor.
As with any smoothie recipe, you’ll want to make sure you have a powerful blender to finely cut through the oats and ice.
I highly recommend this affordable blender for smoothies and just about everything!
Recipe Notes
To give this peanut butter banana oatmeal smoothie a crunchier taste, I recommend you use steel cut oats.
If you prefer a smoother texture, I recommend you use the rolled oats instead!
How to Make a Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Smoothie:
Start by cutting the entire banana into small pieces for easy blending.
In a blender, combine oats, peanut powder, banana, honey, almond milk, and ice. Blend all ingredients together until they are finely chopped to ensure the oats are ground smoothly to a powder form.
Serve the peanut butter banana oatmeal smoothie in a glass and top with oats or granola.

Peanut butter and banana make such a great combo in a smoothie. I have never tried the powder, will have to give that a try. My favorite smoothie combo lately has been chocolate soy milk, banana, and apple. Blend along with some ice. Even my kids suck it down 🙂

How many servings is the recipe for?
Annette says
Can I use regular peanut butter if I don’t have the powder and how much to use?
Danielle says
I have been making this recipe before work for awhile, and I was wondering how many servings it makes because I want to try some ground flax seed in it. The bag of flax I have says it’s serving size is 2 tbsp. Any advice is much appreciated!!! Thanks! 😊
Peggie says
I didn’t have the PB Powder so I used 2 Tbsp of Jiff PB. I think it will taste better with the powder. I used a lot more ice than the recipe called for…I like my smoothies like a milkshake. Very good, ne t time I will use a frozen banana and the PB Powder. Very Good!
Peggie says
Awesome!!! Note to self use only 2 tbsp of PB and 7 ice cubes, VERY GOOD!
