All opinions are mine alone. #WetSkinMoisturizer #CollectiveBiasEvery year my skin becomes the victim of the cold weather. Gone are the days of smooth skin without added care. Because of this, I have a specific winter skin care routine I follow daily to keep my skin hydrated.
I’ve incorporated a DIY lavender essential oil body wash and a wet skin moisturizer into my skin care routine and it was one of the best things I could’ve done for my skin!
This DIY lavender essential oil body wash is a simple and very cost effective natural product to make.
The benefits of this lavender essential oil body wash far exceed your skin, as the lavender scent works wonders on an emotional level too!

DIY LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL BODY WASH:
Ingredients:
– Lavender Castille Soap
– 2 tbs Vegetable Glycerine
– 2 tbs Vitamin E Oil
– 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
– Empty 4 oz. Bottle
Instructions:
1. Fill your empty bottle halfway full with lavender castille soap.
2. Add the vegetable glycerine and vitamin E oil.
3. Top with 10 drops of pure therapeutic grade lavender essential oil.
*If a thicker consistency is desired, you can add more vegetable glycerine to the mixture. For best results, I like to follow up with a moisturizer after using the lavender essential oil body wash. My favorite is the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer. It instantly locks in moisture on wet skin.
Another trick to maintaining hydrated skin is to use an alcohol free toner. My favorite is rose petal witch hazel, and you can read more about why it’s my favorite here.
I also never go without a good lip balm. My current favorite is Young Living’s lavender lip balm. It’s so smooth and smells amazing. Can you tell I have a thing for lavender!?
Between the uses of lavender essential oil body wash, wet skin moisturizer, witch hazel, and lavender lip balm, I think I’ve finally cracked the code to combating dry winter skin while also prepping it for the warmer months to come.
If you’re in need of a quick winter fix, give this a try!

I love essential oils, and this recipe looks like a keeper! I use witch hazel as a toner also, but did not think to get an alcohol free one. Mine is the plain witch hazel. Now I will look for the non-alcoholic one.

Is it ok to have the essential oil in a plastic container? I thought anything with essential oils in them had to be in dark glass containers. Would love to make this!
