I’m 11 months out from my wedding and the prepping has begun. The workouts are in full swing along with my bride to be beauty routine. I want to look my very best for not only the wedding day, but wedding related events like bridal shows, showers, and parties, so I’m starting early.
I think it’s safe to say most brides want to look their best on their big day and will do just about anything the day of to achieve that look. There are some things you can focus on leading up to the big day that will make all the difference too, so let’s talk about how to incorporate them into your bride to be beauty routine!
FOR THE FACE:
A flawless makeup application the day of is a must, but what about the skin underneath the makeup? Makeup doesn’t cover everything, so you’ll want to make sure you treat it nicely the months leading up to your wedding! Along with a regular morning and nightly skin care routine, my personal favorite thing is a bentonite clay mask mixed with frankincense essential oil. Frankincense oil works wonders on the skin to minimize fine lines and scars while also brightening it. I like to use this twice a week. Results aren’t instant, but you will see them, so if you have an upcoming wedding or special event, you may want to get started soon!
FOR THE HAIR:
The condition of your hair is also something you can’t reverse over night, so the sooner you focus on this, the better! Dry, brittle hair is not only noticeable, it’s harder to work with. Since I plan on wearing my hair curled and most likely down for my wedding, I want it to look as healthy as possible. I use a hydrating macadamia oil hair mask for a deep conditioning at least three times a week.FOR THE SKIN:
Tan lines aren’t ideal when you have to wear dresses to multiple events, but neither is skin cancer! I want to have a healthy glow for my big day, so I try to safely get some sun when I can. This doesn’t mean I don’t use sunscreen though! If I’m in need of a quick fix, a spray tan or self tanner is always an option. My favorite is Fake Bake’s Flawless self tanner which is sold at an unbelievably great price and gets the job done without looking orange or streaky.
FOR THE SMILE:
When it comes to bridal beauty, teeth whitening is one of the biggest priorities on a wedding checklist. You’ll probably take more pictures on your wedding day than you will the rest of your life, unless you’re a blogger that is! I kid! But you will be taking a lot and your smile will be center stage, so make sure it’s on point! Start early to ensure you have the brightest smile for all your wedding related events. Try Crest 3D White Supreme Flexfit Whitestrips for a great way to get teeth as white looking as an expensive laser treatment for a fraction of the price (under $65 for a kit). For every big upcoming event, all you need to do is wear a whitestrip for an hour for two weeks!
Out of all, my teeth will be getting the most attention from both the camera and myself. I still have pre-wedding events like a bridal shower and bachelorette party to look forward to, so I want my smile to shine as bright as that diamond sitting on my left hand! With a little help from the Crest Whitestrips, that mission is accomplished. It’s a must have for a bride to be beauty routine!
