When my dogs aren’t eating or napping, they’re playing. Hailey’s a pro at scoring all the belly rubs and treats and Deuce has strategically mastered how to kill any stuffed animal in sight. They’re both good at leaving stuffed animal guts all over the floor too, but I’d say Hailey takes the cake with that one. When Mr. Worm is in sight, it’s game on. Mr. Armadillo, on the other hand, never stands a chance with Deuce. The recent Deuce vs Mr. Armadillo battle was caught on film and can be seen below. Scroll down to see what happens when you have a dog in battle mode with a GoPro!
It’s hard to tell Hailey and Deuce are actually senior dogs by their playful behavior. Despite their behavior, I recently read that around age seven, a dog’s brain begins to change, due to a shift in the glucose metabolism, which can affect memory, learning, and awareness. Those facts alone gave me all the dog mom worries in the world and made me wonder what it would be like if that ever happened to my fur babies (it wouldn’t be pretty). I much rather a playful dog any day!
They give me so much love and entertainment that it’s only fair I do everything I can to protect those small balls of fluff. I figured now would be a good time to start taking Hailey and Deuce’s age more into consideration, since they are eight years old. Just like us, as dogs age, their diet becomes even more important.
Now that they’re older, I’ve decided it’s time to focus more on their diet, so Hailey and I headed to PetSmart to pick up some age appropriate dog food.
We’ve made the switch to Purina Pro Plan Bright Mind dog food since it contains botanical oils that help promote memory and attention. Play time is our favorite time of the day, so a food that may give an increased interest in play is exactly what we need.
Our goal is to keep the dog vs armadillo battles going.
It gets pretty wild up in here.

Hailey is so cute. It's so fun to see from their point of view. Thinking of picking up a GoPro for our dog too.

Hailey says thank you 😉 The GoPro is so neat for the dogs. GoPro makes a harness that they can wear. We took Hailey to the dog park and it was so cool to watch her playing with the other dogs from her perspective.

This is too funny! I've always wondered what things are like from my dog's perspective. This gives some good insight!

I've always wondered too! You can really see how short they are and how big we look to them from their perspective!

Haha that armadillo's nose was way over-matched! I've always wondered what it would be like to see the world from a dog's perspective. We have 2 older dogs here, so I'll have to check out that food, too. Thanks! #client

The armadillo didn't even come close to standing a chance!
