One of the hardest things about living in Texas is the lack of good seafood dishes. There are many other options and all the queso in Dallas, but that can only distract me for so long until I start craving my New Orleans favorites, one of them being shrimp scampi pasta. It’s so good and even better when it’s easy to make. This shrimp scampi pasta recipe can be made in minutes! This week I took the easy way out (I kind of do that a lot) when I made shrimp scampi pasta. I cheated and used a sauce base, but shh, I won’t tell if you won’t.
WHAT YOU NEED
– Peeled Gulf shrimp
– Campbell’s skillet scampi sauce (prepackaged)
– Angel hair pasta
– Parsley
– Minced garlic
– Chopped onion
– Cajun Tony Chachere’s seasoning
– Salt
WHAT YOU DOStep 1: Peel and remove tails of shrimp.Step 2: Sauté peeled shrimp in olive oil, fresh chopped parsley, minced garlic, chopped onion, and add a dash of salt. Step 3: Add the sauce base once shrimp are pink. Simmer on low for 10 minutes until shrimp are fully cooked. Serve over warm bed of pasta. When I cooked with freshly chopped vegetables, I like to clean as I go. I don’t recommend spraying harsh chemicals near food prep areas, but a food-safe cleaner like Green Works Pump ‘N Clean is fine to use between cutting veggies and cooking; however, it’s not intended to clean raw fish. I like to use this to clean my dishes and utensils as I cook.Green Works products are made with plant and mineral based ingredients that clean powerfully without harsh chemical fumes or residue. You can find Green Works Pump ‘N Clean in the natural cleaning aisle at Target, the only retailer that sells the entire line, including natural cleaning for all rooms!
If you’d like to eliminate harsh chemicals from your house, you can save 10% on all varieties of Green Works products when you use the Target Cartwheel app June 14-July 11.
