Sometimes this blog gets a little more quiet than I’d like it to when it comes down to actual life lately. The truth is, I often feel like some stuff isn’t “blog worthy” enough, whatever that may mean. There’s only so many times I can write about my weekend and random happenings without it starting to sound repetitive, but I’m working on that. I’m not in a new city every week and more often than not, I’m more than content with grabbing food and drinks as my weekend go to event. But you know what? There’s nothing wrong with that. After all, I started this blog as a way to recap what’s been going on in my life, so it’s time to get back to it. Rather than saving those personal posts for the bigger, “blog worthy” events, like traveling or first time experiences, I want to start recapping it all again, even if it’s the little things!
So in the mean time, here’s a little Insta-recap of what I’ve been getting into lately.
One :: I’m still on a white and gold kick and I’m 110% sure I will never get sick of it. I’m almost ashamed to admit it, but if you remember this post where I talked about my bedroom design inspiration, I can finally say it’s starting to come along. I really suck at decorating in a timely manner. By the time I get the place just the way I want it, our lease is up and we decide to move. So with that being said, I blame it on so many moves, but that excuse is no longer acceptable now that Chris and I are settled in Dallas. The good news is our bedroom is almost done! I stumbled across this gold striped lampshade from Target last week and it matches everything perfectly! Our master bedroom furtniture is white, with white bedding and white curtains and accents of gold decor. I’m thinking pictures need to come soon because I’m finally content with it all!
Two :: It’s no secret I’m obsessed with essential oils. You see them on the blog, you see them on my Instagram, and even my essential oil Instagram account. They say everyone’s a skeptic at first and then they try them and become obsessed and I couldn’t agree more. If you missed Monday’s Essential Oils 101 post and were ever curious about oils and how they work, this should answer all your questions. I may or may not get too excited when someone wants to learn more and start to talk their head off. I apologize in advance.
Three :: The Louisiana in me is craving outdoor fests and crawfish. I blame it on being festival season in New Orleans right now and having all the sads that I’m missing Jazz Fest this year, so the goal this weekend is to try to find some sort of outdoor food and music fest around Dallas. Any recommendations!?
Four :: $100 bucks says this weekend starts off with happy hour of free chips and queso and the fact that even exists makes me love Dallas to the extreme.
Happy Friday!!

I love reading posts about simple, everyday things and life in general. And no news is better than bad news, right?
