Spring has sprung and so have the watery eyes, itchy throats, and runny noses. Yesterday I woke up with a scratchy throat so I knew it was time to use my essential oils for seasonal discomfort. The trio of essential oils for seasonal discomfort has been helping me, so hopefully this essential oil blend can help you too. If you have the Young Living Premium Starter Kit, you already have the three oils needed!
The lemon, lavender, and peppermint essential oil trio is my go to for getting through allergy season! This is one of the first recipes I saved when I began my essential oil journey. So many recommended this trio to me!
If you’re wanting to give it a try, there are a few different ways you can use these essential oils for seasonal discomfort, so I’ll break it down for you to choose which method you prefer.
Diffuse
The best way to get essential oils into the air is to diffuse them! Add 3 drops lemon, 3 drops lavender, and 3 drops peppermint to your diffuser.
Topical
You can apply a drop of each oil topically onto your skin. Apply to the back of your neck, your chest, and the bottom of your feet. Reapply multiple times throughout the day as needed. If you are using the essential oils topically, I would recommend diluting the oils with a carrier, like coconut oil.
Internal
Place 3 drops lemon, 3 drops lavender, and 3 drops peppermint into a vegetable capsule to take internally. (Please keep in mind not all essential oils are the same, so ingesting may not always be safe. Many oils are adulterated, even when they are labeled pure/therapeutic grade, which is why I recommend Young Living and researching before ingesting).
If you’re new to essential oils or you’re interested in getting started, feel free to leave a comment or send me an email! I would love to help you by sharing what I know and what I’ve learned through my journey! This post is a great start as well!
