Now that football is officially over for the season, it’s time to shift our focus to other sports, like basketball and baseball and the eating that goes along with it. I still love a homegating party regardless of whatever sport there is on tv, and any excuse to drink, watch a game, and eat with a bunch of friends is welcome in my book. Lately, I’ve been on a truffle fry kick. It all started when I made a trip to a local Uptown burger joint and I’ve been hooked ever since. Since I never seem to have my fill with these, I figured I’d give it a shot at making them at home, because hello, more fries. This parmesan garlic truffle fry recipe I whipped up didn’t disappoint and was actually really easy to make. If you’ve been around these parts a time or two, I’m sure you’ve all caught on by now that if there’s a recipe on this blog, it better be easy, or it won’t be here.
1 package of Alexia Smart Classics Crinkle Cut Fries
Truffle Oil
Garlic Powder
Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Coat a baking sheet lightly with truffle oil. Place the frozen Alexia crinkle cut fries ontop the truffle oil, then lightly coat the fries with more truffle oil. Sprinkle a little bit garlic powder on the fries, then top with shredded parmesan cheese. Bake fries in the oven per instructions on the Alexia bag label. *Optional- sprinkle parsley for added flavor once done.
Truffle fries are my favorite since they are an endless finger food; perfect for game watching. Another great option is onion rings. The Alexia crispy onion rings make a great gamely companion because the bag full of rings keeps the food coming!
To give onion rings a different flavor, I’ll often pair them with a dip. I like spicy foods, so my go to dip for fries and onion rings is a chipotle dip. It adds a nice kick and with only three ingredients, it’s fairly simple to make.
W H A T Y O U N E E D
8 oz chipotle cream cheese spread
2 tbs chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
1 tbs lemon juice
W H A T Y O U D O
Step one: in a food processor, combine chipotle peppers, cream cheese spread, and lemon juice. Step two: process until peppers are finely chopped and cream cheese is smooth. Step three: well there is no step three. It’s really that simple y’all.
You can pair the chipotle dip with fries, onion rings, chips, crackers, bagels, or anything you can think of. The Alexia fries and onion rings have quality taste and can quickly be cooked in the oven, which is a must for me. You can find them in the freezer section at Walmart and find out more by following on Facebook and Pinterest.
Are you a fan of truffle fries? Can you eat just one? (I know I can’t)!
