Now that we know who is going to make it to the Big Game, I can’t say I am too thrilled about the actual game part. I wouldn’t be a true football fan if I didn’t tune in though, so the game day party will still go on. Instead of being hyped up about the actual game, I’m more excited about the food and commercials. I’ve been thinking of some more game day food and snacks to incorporate into the watch party, so let’s get right into round two of snack ideas for the game.
One of my favorite types of snacks is something that can incorporate salty and sweet, so I thought what better way to do so while showing the football spirit than with some sweet + salty chocolate covered football chips? These are very easy to make and add the perfect football touch to the party theme.
WHAT YOU NEED :: For the chocolate covered football chips, you will need one can of Original Pringles, one pack of milk chocolate candy melts, and white decorating icing.
WHAT YOU DO :: Melt the milk chocolate per instructions on the package. Coat each chip into the chocolate and let it sit and cool on wax paper. Once cooled and hardened (about 15 minutes), decorate each chip with white icing to model a football. Store in a cool place until ready to serve.
I always like to have variety when I’m hosting a party or watching sports. If you’re a fan of dips on game day, then five ingredient cheesy bean dip is a must try!
WHAT YOU NEED :: 8 oz cream cheese, 1 cup sour cream, 2 cups mexican blend cheese, 2 cans refried beans, 1 pack of taco seasoning.
WHAT YOU DO :: In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, refried beans, and taco seasoning until well mixed. Place is a greased baking dish, then top with cheese. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for approximately 25 minutes until cheese it melted. Let cool and serve.
The cheesy bean dip pairs nicely with the new Original Cheddar Cheez-It Grooves. The thin, crispy texture adds the perfect amount of crisp and additional cheddar since they are made with 100% real cheese. They can be found at Walmart and also come in Zesty Cheddar Ranch and Sharp White Cheddar flavors.
The Cheez-Its are great for dipping or can be enjoyed on their own. I’m a fan of any kind of dip, so here’s to hoping there’s enough left to share!
Will you be trying something new, like chocolate covered football chips, for the Big Game? I believe you can never have too much food, so feel free to share your favorite snack below!
