I’ve received my third Ipsy Glam Bag in the mail and feel it’s time to break it all down and do a little review. Many wonder if the Glam Bag is worth it or not. Will they like it? Will they use the products? The questions go on. While I can’t answer for everyone on whether or not they’ll like or use the products considering everyone’s preferences vary, I can tell you if it is worth it or not from a product value stand point.
For $10 per month, you receive one mini makeup bag with around 5-6 full or sample sized products. Below is a breakdown of products that came in my January Ipsy Glam Bag.
One :: Hikari Eyeliner
This was a full sized eyeliner in the color “storm”, which is a silvery metallic shade.
Value :: $13
Two :: Manna Kadar Sheer Glo Shimmer Lotion
This product is intended to be mixed with either your foundation or applied to skin for a shimmery glow. It can be used as a full body application for extra shine. A sample size came from Ipsy.
Value :: $7.83 (based on $29 price for full size)
Three :: Eco-Beauty Good Day Moisturizer
This is a day time moisturizer that refreshens dry skin and helps reduce fine wrinkles. The moisturizer is free of parabens, dyes, sulfates, and artificial fragrances making it a more natural alternative for skin care. This was also a sample size.
Value :: $11.76 (based on $40 price for full size)
Four :: Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm
This is a hydrating clear lip gel and is paraben free. This came as a sample size slightly smaller than the original.
Value :: $12
Five :: Pacifica Nautral Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow
This is a natural mineral eyeshadow that is infused with coconut water to produce a creamy texture. Their products are 100% vegan, and cruelty and paraben free. This came as a full sized single palette.
Value :: $3.50 (based on full 4 pallet price of $14)
Total Value :: $48.09
Summary
As you can see, at only $10 per month, you get way more than $10 worth of products. Even if you were to only like two things out of your Ipsy Glam Bag, you will still nearly, if not, break even. If you like to try new products and love being surprised every month with a happy mail day, I think you’d like the Glam Bag. If you’re the type of person that is already set on their favorite products and doesn’t like to change, perhaps it’s not for you. I personally like the Ipsy Glam Bag because I like to try new things and this way I am forced to do so. I wouldn’t know where to start if I were to just walk into a beauty store and grab some random stuff. I’d rather at least be recommended a few things to try.
Have you ever tried the Ipsy Glam Bag? What are your thoughts?

I love my Ipsy subscription! I used to have Birchbox and really didn't like it, so I'm happy I switched to Ipsy. Though I will say it causes me to now want to go out and buy expensive mascara since my Ipsy sample is all gone. 😉 I guess that's the whole point!

I had an Ipsy subscription for two months and then found out we'll be making a big move out of the country in May. So unfortunately I had to cancel my subscription and use that money to pay off credit cards. But I LOVED my Ipsy bags! $10 is great compared to the price you'd pay for the full size of each item.

I thought the bag this month was really good! I did think the mojito lip balm had a weird texture though.
The Life You Love says
I absolutely loved having an ipsy subscription, but I sadly decided to stop receiving it for a little while to save a few bucks here and there.

we are January Bag Twins! I have definitely had better bags though, this was my least favorite bag. But, I do agree that it's a fun surprise and gives you a chance to experiment! (:
