I’m a fan of toasting to the new year with a drink in hand. To change things up from the traditional champagne bottle poppin’ when the clock strikes midnight, I like to toast to the new year with champagne with a twist! To kick off 2015, I’ll be pop fizz and clinking to the sips and sounds of champagne poppin’ with a hint of cranberry pomegranate. This four ingredient cranberry pomegranate sparkling champagne is simple to make and it’s pretty to look at, so it’s a win for me.
W H A T Y O U N E E D :: For this drink, you will need Canada Dry Ginger AleĀ®, Canada Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale, champagne, and pomegranate seeds.
W H A T Y O U D O :: Fill your glass half full of champagne. Fill the remaining part of the glass with equal parts ginger ale and cranberry ginger ale. Top with pomegranate seeds to add extra fizz and flavor!
You can alter this recipe with any type of champagne you like. My preference is Brut, so that’s what I used, but any will do. If you’re celebrating the new year with some that are under age, just skip the champagne part and then they can still toast at midnight too!
You can find everything needed for this champagne drink recipe at Walmart on the soft drink and wine and beverage aisle.
Do you have a favorite New Year’s Eve drink you’d like to share? I’d love to hear what you will be toasting to 2015 with! Cheers!
