A root beer float dessert cocktail is what I need right about now. My current chaos of boxes upon boxes has finally started to disappear and my home is starting to actually look like a home rather than the latest episode of Hoarders. Cheers to that.
In celebration of having everything unpacked, the master bedroom repainted, and even curtains hung much sooner than I anticipated, I’ll be getting my drank on. Here’s your open invitation to join me with an A&W TEN root beer float.
To make up for the guilt that may come with the ice cream and whipped cream, I used A&W TEN to save on calories. At only ten calories per serving, I’m okay with that and will forever #drinkTEN! Of course you can substitute greek froyo instead of vanilla ice cream and do away with the whipped cream, but after the week I’ve been having, I choose to eat and drink my emotions, so I’m going all out.
A&W Root Beer
Vanilla Ice Cream
Whipped Vodka
Whipped Cream
Chocolate Syrup
Place 3 scoops of ice cream at bottom of mug
Fill mug with root beer until nearly full
Add 1 shot of vodka
Top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup
Dessert in a drink? Don’t mind if I do. Unpacking is a nightmare, but when it leads to a dessert cocktail, I don’t mind it.
Since I just moved in, the necessary trip to the grocery had to happen stat. While picking up some goodies to feed my hungry fridge at Kroger, I picked up the A&W TEN, right on the drink aisle and easy to find.
If you’re in the mood for a dessert cocktail, this one’s for you!
