While you’re reading this, I’m on my way to the beach. I’m not trying to brag or anything, but since I haven’t had a real beach vacation in over a year, it’s completely necessary. I apologize if you’re currently stuck in a cube staring at a computer screen, that sucks. But hey, at least tomorrow is the 4th of July and you have a much brighter day ahead. Unless that is you work for the devil himself, then again, that sucks and I’m sorry.
My beach vacay will start with a pit stop at home in Louisiana, and that my friends is what makes this move to Texas all the better. I can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting to be able to do this. It’s the little things in life that really matter, and for me it’s being driving distance to home. No more being stuck 1400 miles across the country and booking plane tickets months in advance only to visit 3 times a year. Those days are over! And then I realized it’s already been a year since I was celebrating the 4th of July in Boston. That’s the cool thing about this whole blogging thing, you get to look back at all your previous adventures, but that’s not the point of this post.
Clearly my mind is already in beach mode. Is it just me or is going to the beach really the only place that allows you to clear your mind 100%? So for the next 5 days I’ll be sitting with my ass in the water, toes in the sand, and a cold beer in my hand…. orrr something like that. And then it’s back to Louisiana for the week with a little wedding attending sprinkled in the middle. Life is rough 😉
Like always, if an overload of beach pictures and vacation eats are your thing, come follow along with me on Instagram!
Happy 4th of July y’all! What are your 4th plans?

I really couldn't imagine living without a beach near by. Gotta hear those waves crashing and smell that salty air weekly! Hope you have an awesome time!

I hope you have fun! I'm also heading to the beach to stay with my boyfriend. So glad I get to actually see a 4th of july celebration this year. Last year I was in Italy.

Beach vacay sounds perfect! I just read your re-cap on 4th of July in Boston and had to laugh. I live in RI and even going form here to MA there are differences. Maybe RI's drink more, but our liquor stores don't close, and there are always drink vendors, and we can set off fireworks, but this is new to us. Have a great 4th!!
