This past weekend was one for the books. I got to mark something off my New England bucket list that I’ve been impatiently waiting for all winter long. When I woke up on Saturday morning and saw a gorgeous day in the forecast, I figured it was time! I woke Chris up, googled all the wineries along the Connecticut Wine Trail, picked one that wasn’t terribly far away, and off we went. We arrived at Gouveia Vineyards and realized we couldn’t have picked a better winery with prettier views. This place was gorgeous! It made the day that much better and I may have to say this is my new favorite place in all of New England.
We started off with a tour of the winery with the owner and then did some wine tasting at the bar. After the wine tasting, we grabbed some sangria and spent the afternoon outside taking in the view. Bringing your own picnic food is encouraged, which made this winery that much more awesome! Someone needs to pay me to do this everyday because I think I could do a damn good job. Any takers!?
After visiting the winery, we stopped and got dessert for dinner, aka the best kind of dinner, at the Cheesecake Factory. I didn’t have to think twice about ordering that Oreo cheesecake. Not gonna lie though, it was hard to share!
That about sums up our weekend. It was so fun! I definitely want to do this again before I leave. Hopefully within the next week or so when my parents are here.
And now… the obligatory photo dump. I may have gotten a bit out of control. Let’s just say it was much needed practice with that dslr I’ve been neglecting.

Gouveia is my favorite vineyard! My parents came to visit recently and my mom brought me a bottle of Stonehouse White 😀

Oh there's an adorable little winery a bit further south, check out Jones Family in Shelton. We have tons of amazing vineyards in Virginia, it's pretty much my hobby.

I've living in California for 5 months already and have yet to visit a winery! But your photos just convinced me that I need to plan a trip to one ASAP!
