Can we please go back in time to this weekend? I had too much fun and would like to relive it. But then again, who wouldn’t want to relive a weekend full of fall festivities? So since I can’t go back in time, I’ll just have to do this whole reliving thing through pictures. Pictures that I actually took with my DSLR! See, I’m slowly making progress!
This weekend was jammed packed with just about everything on my fall bucket list and it made me one happy girl. It was also filled with hours of driving. Chris and I drove to Guilford, Vermont to go to Gaines Farm for a haunted corn maze, haunted hay rides, and a bonfire. I forgot how much I missed sitting around a fire. I also forgot how much of a little bi*** tough guy Chris is when it comes down to scary things 😉 But no worries, I forced him through, and then he nearly broke my wrist from clinging on so tightly to me when someone jumped out of a cornstalk. Good times, good times!
And then we ventured off to a place north of Boston in Andover, MA to go apple picking and pick our pumpkins from the pumpkin patch field at Boston Hill Farm. I may have 5 pumpkins in the house now. I’m not ashamed. And I’m totally glitter bombing them later tonight.
I guess neither one of us got the memo that the apple picking season was almost over. All of the apples were picked over and the ones left on the trees didn’t look too good. But I did get some apple cider donuts and caramel apple cookies, which were the highlight of my day. Those things are to die for I tell ya! I will definitely do this again next year, but much earlier in the season though.
What’s a farm without farm animals!? This little guy was precious all cuddled up in his tub. He totally stole my heart when he let me feed him and tried to steal my pumpkin!
And this is where Chris about lost it at Gaines Farm. I was fine, that is, until I was being chased through cornstalks with a chain saw.

I love pumpkin patch / farm adventures. And I've been craving apple cider donuts. Need to make those ASAP.

Ahh I'm not sure I could handle the haunted corn maze, but I love that you got 5 pumpkins and got to experience a bon fire, farm animals, and apple cider doughnuts! I could probably put up with the corn maze if it meant I got to experience all those other awesome fall-ish things!

What a perfect fall weekend! Apple picking is fun, but it's really the apple cider donuts that put it over the top…you also don't have pounds of apples taunting you in your kitchen like I now do, so I think you came out ahead! Can we lobby for more weekend and less weekday??

Hello from the P&P Collective! Sad that there were no apples left on the tree, at least you got to take some great pictures!

Awwww those little animals are melting my heart! And nooooo thank you on the haunted business – I can't even watch scary movies, so those corn mazes are an absolute no-go for me this time of year!

I have been absolutely dying to go apple picking but unfortunately apple orchards do not exist here in Florida so for now I'm stuck with pumpkin patches and orange picking which isn't any fun because you can't bake a pie with oranges (not a tasty one at least)
