It’s been a hot minute since this blog has had an actual Monday weekend recap, so it’s time to get back to it. This weekend was filled with relaxation, a little retail therapy, and a state fair and was just what I needed! Life has been crazy busy lately with the start of the new job, a new semester of grad school, moving, and unpacking, but I can finally say that I think it’s starting to slow down. Whew!
Friday and Saturday, Chris and I did something we don’t normally do and decided to stay home. As in no driving to Boston to watch an LSU game, no train hopping into NYC, no random shopping trips or drives to get out the house because we’re bored, etc etc. If ya can’t tell, I don’t like to stay put! But I must admit it was pretty nice lounging around the house all day Saturday with football, no makeup, and comfy clothes, so I think I’m going to try that more often.
Sunday I woke up bright and early and quickly realized it was Christmas at Target. Aka, Phillip Lim launch day, so I rolled my butt out of bed and left the house in record time to get my hands on one of those beauties. I chose the Large Tote with Gusset in black. Little did I know that everybody and their mom was also anticipating this day. Gotta love a woman’s priority! I’m hoping they restock the line because I would love to get one of the mini totes with the crossbody straps. You can never have too many purses right?
Then on Sunday evening, Chris and I headed to the state fair. You name it, we saw it and ate it. Elephants, camels, llamas, alpacas, zebras, horses, baby chicks, fried oreos, philly cheese steaks, corn dogs, a circus, and even a Mardi Gras parade (don’t get me started on this one people). But can we please rewind to the baby chicks? Talk about melt my heart! They are the cutest thing! If you didn’t see my Instagram video I posted then you’re missing out. I bet you’ll never eat an egg or that grilled chicken breast sitting in your lunch box again!
What did you do this weekend!? Link up with Sami and let us know!

Love the bag!! My Target (and every other one in Atlanta) is out of stock but I think my college town should have some, I think I'll check 'em out on Wednesday!

What do you think of the quality of your bag? I've heard a few people complain that they looked cheap in person and seemed like they wouldn't last. My Target was sold out, and I don't want to put in a ton of effort to locate one if they aren't even that great in person.
