Can we talk about spouse appreciation for a minute? Let’s think about the men behind the blogs, the boyfriends, the husbands, those partners that are our other half and do so much for us. Sometimes I feel like a slacker in the show your hubby appreciation department. Can anyone else relate? It’s not that I don’t appreciate everything my husband does, and he does a lot, it’s that…
March Goals
Wow, this year is just moving right along! I’m ready to take on March with a full reset! February was fun, especially with all the Mardi Gras shenanigans but to say I need a bit of a reset would be an understatement. I feel like my body has been running off of king cake for the past few weeks, which is partially true! That definitely doesn’t help…
February Goals
Is it really February already!? That’s almost hard to believe considering I’m still writing 2016 on things, but I’m not complaining! In fact I’m glad this year is flying by. Deep down I’m secretly anticipating for it to be May already, so if there was some sort of time machine I could hop in, I’d be just fine with that! We have lots of stuff going on, with many of those things taking place towards the middle of the year and I’m getting a little antsy…
16 Lessons I Learned in 2016
2016 was one of my busiest and most memorable years yet. Lots of major life happenings occurred and lessons were learned. Incase you missed it, you can read the full recap of my 2016 year in review. While the year thankfully had many ups, that doesn’t mean there weren’t downs. I learned a lot about myself, life, and my surroundings, all of which have turned into valuable lessons I hope to grow and expand from. Here are some key lessons I’ve learned throughout the year…
January Goals
I’m still scrambling to get on board with my new year’s goals and resolutions, but better late than never, right? We may be half way through the first month of the year, but there’s never a wrong time to start. Rather than mapping out all of my goals for the entire year, I’m choosing to break them down into monthly segments…
2016 Year in Review
Where do I even begin!? 2016 was good to me. I moved back to my home state of Louisiana, enjoyed multiple trips to the beach, celebrated a 7 year anniversary, committed to a workout routine and weight loss goal and actually succeeded, planned a wedding, married my best friend, had the most amazing honeymoon, and ended the year house hunting for our first home. 2017 has some big shoes to fill, but…
December Goals
It’s December already!? How is that so!? I’m not complaining since this is my favorite time of the year! I’m just now realizing that I forgot to share my goals for November last month, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re in full wedding planning mode during your wedding month…
October Goals
Who writes their October goals 20 days into the month of October? This girl right here and I don’t know if I should be ashamed or what! These past few weeks have been crazy and the timing of this post proves it. Time has literally gone by in the blink of an eye for me. I thought by now things would chill down, but boy was I wrong! At this point I just need my honeymoon to get here already because this wedding planning stuff has my head spinning…
New Orleans French Quarter Engagement Photos
As promised, it’s time for round two! Today I’m sharing our New Orleans French Quarter engagement photos with y’all! This shoot was a fun and classic Nola shoot that I knew I couldn’t go without. Since we are having a French Quarter wedding, I figured French Quarter engagement photos were necessary to go with the theme…
Brunch and Bubbly Couple’s Shower
This past Saturday was our brunch and bubbly couple’s shower and we couldn’t have been more pleased with how the day turned out. Chris’s sister did a fantastic job planning it all! The cake and mimosa bar were some of my favorite touches, as well as all of the amazing food we had, which I somehow forgot…
Our Engagement Photos in New Orleans City Park
I promised y’all forever ago that I’d share our engagement photos so today I’m here to finally deliver with round one of our New Orleans City Park engagement photos! If a photo overload is what you came to see, then you’ve come to the right place because that’s exactly what this post is about to become…
September Goals
This month will be the most challenging for me, but I’m excited to get started! I joined a group weight loss challenge at my gym which officially kicked off this week. It’s an 8 week long challenge that is divided into teams that compete against each other with the overall goal of who can lose the most body fat percentage. I’ll be working closely with a trainer, who from what I’ve been told, loves to give a good butt kicking, so it will be interesting to say the least. I’ll be done with the program just in time before the wedding and…
